The New Year is only a few weeks old and already millions of New Year’s resolutions have been forgotten.
Resolutions to lose weight have fallen by the wayside. Lots of new gym memberships haven’t even produced a brisk walk from the car to the gym.
I hope you make New Year’s Commitments instead.
In a recent video, I showed how commitments are stickier than resolutions. When you’re committed to something, you stick to it even when it gets hard, and even when you don’t feel like it.
I’ve been committed to bringing you a weekly blog post for about two years now. I don’t always feel like writing, or creating a video, but I’ve rarely missed a week because I’m committed to empowering you and your nonprofit. When I fall short, I jump right back in the following week.
Being a Life-Long Learner
It’s not just about creating new videos and posts to help empower you. I’m committed to continuing education — yours and mine!
I’m a life-long learner. I’ve enjoyed continued success because I read books, take classes, and study the latest and best practices in fundraising and nonprofit management.
If you want to be the best you can be, and among the best in your field, it’s in your own best interest to become a life-long learner, too.
I know you can do it! You’re watching this video so you can continue learning.
